Half Term Activities for Children being hosted by BCA

Our next Saturday evening bingo is due to take place on Saturday 2nd February at the Neighbourhood Centre.
Doors will be open at 5.00pm and the first game will start at 6.00pm.
GREAT RAFFLE PRIZES TO BE WON AND CASH PRIZE WITH BONUS BALL
Children aged 8 + are welcome to come along and join in providing they are accompanied by a responsible adult
Hot and cold refreshments will be available through Eatwells Café
All players must be members of Barton Community Association (£1 per year)

IS BOOKED FOR SATURDAY 28TH SEPTEMBER FROM 12 NOON – 4.30PM GET IT IN YOUR DIARIES NOW
Pimp Yer Bike will take place on Tuesday 23rd, Wednesday 24th and Thursday 25th October between 10.00am – 3.00pm with free lunch provided each day for everyone who attends. The course is absolutely FREE to attend and for everyone who turns up on all three days they will be given a FREE lock and FREE lights for their bikes. Aimed at anyone aged between 10 – 15 years of age and you must have your own bike to bring along to the course. You will be shown how to strip down your bike, carry out a full service and undertake minor repairs then re-assemble your bike before you spray paint it in colours of your choice !!This will all be carried out under supervision, and we will need parental consent for you to bring along your bike.
Cooking Up a Feast will take place on Wednesday 24th, Thursday 25th and Friday 26th October between 10.00am – 1.30pm for anyone aged between 9 – 15 who wants to learn the basics of cooking, and how to cook up a feast on a low budget. The course is FREE to attend and everyone will be given free lunch each day. On Day 1 you will decide what you would like to cook so design your menu followed by preparation of a shopping list of ingredients required. You will also find out about food nutrition. On day 2 you will have a trip to a local supermarket using the minibus so that you can buy all the necessary ingredients for your menu choice. You will also have the opportunity to make fresh smoothies from scratch. On day 3 this is when it all comes together so you will spend time prepping all your ingredients and cooking your chosen meal. Finally you will sit down and enjoy the results of all your hard work.
Please register early for either of the above courses as places are limited and it will be on a first come first served basis. No need to be bored during the half term week when there’s plenty going on to keep you busy.
