What are the awards about?
This is your chance to recognise a Barton resident who is an unsung hero. Do you know someone who goes above and beyond expectations to help you or others in the community, or a young person who is excelling in what they do?
Many of the people we’re thinking about will believe they don’t deserve any kind of recognition at all for what they do. But let’s reward these people who by their actions make Barton a better place to live in.
So, please think about who you would like to nominate. Awards will be made at the Annual General Meeting of the Barton Community Association. If the person you nominate is shortlisted, you and they will be invited to attend the presentation.
How do I nominate someone?
It’s easy- all you have to do is complete a short form- saying who you want to nominate, your name, address and telephone number, and a few sentences saying why you want to nominate them.
- If you wish to nominate in more than one category, please complete a separate form for each category.
- Entries will be judged by a panel of independent and impartial judges.
- The decision of the panel is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
- There will be a maximum of three finalists in each category.
- Entries will not be returned.
