We often get asked what we do as an Association for our community. The list is endless and the activities we both host and manage represent just a small wedge of what we get involved in on behalf of our residents.

We have a nonpolitical, non-religious approach to everything we do, and we actively welcome new members to the Association so we are fully representative of those we serve. We have adopted a “whole community” approach in all that we offer so no one group, or individual feels excluded.  We are one community.

Some of our regular activities include, but not limited to, our Stay and Play group (thank you Rachel for your unconditional commitment) Oxfordshire Breastfeeding Support, Barton Brownies (Mary you have been amazing), Art and Craft Club, Coding Club, Fun to Learn Club, youth activities, Veterans Association, assorted weekly exercise classes for both adults and children, Barton Community Larder, Barton Clothes Larder, Umbrella Club for Gents, coach trips and Barton Community Library.  We also host our weekly karate and basketball sessions as well as the pre-school activity sessions delivered by Oxford City Council.

Many organisations choose the Neighbourhood Centre to deliver their training courses as it is seen as “a friendly place to be” and offering good quality facilities.
