On Tuesday last, 4 April, we were visited at the Community Larder by two sets of incredibly generous people. In the morning members of Barclays Bank brought trays of food donated by their staff in all areas of the operation, including Barclays Eagle Labs (who deal with start-ups and entrepreneurs), The Wood Centre, Oxford Branch, and the Thames Valley Mid-Corporate team.

They stayed to help, and some more Barclays staff came in the afternoon, also to help with the Larder. We were also visited by Wheatley Co-Op who brought more donated food to swell the choice for Larder members. Everyone was impressed by our operation, and said they’d like to come again. The Community Larders are open to everyone. To join, click on the link and sign up with SOFEA, which is the food hub for Oxford’s Larders.
It’s just £14 per month (£3.50 per week) for 10 ambient items + whatever fresh fruit and veg are available on any given Tuesday. It’s a no-brainer! https://www.sofea.uk.com/purpose-projects/community-larder/
